Visa Information and Entry Requirements for Ghana

All persons entering Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or travel document establishing the identity of the holder.
A visa may be obtained from Ghana Embassies/High Commissions, Consulates or other Embassies authorized by the Government of Ghana to issue visas on her behalf. Visa applications may take between two (2) to three (3) weeks to process. Participants who require visas should endeavor to submit their visa application documents early. The cedi is the unit of currency in Ghana. The cedi is broken down into 100 pesewas. The best currencies to bring to Ghana are: US Dollars, Euros and British pounds. These will get you the best exchange rate at banks and foreign exchange bureaus. There are ATM machines available in major cities with accept Visa and MasterCard.
